After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Houma Christian, Thomas Jefferson was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Newman Greenies.

Carson Heigle made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Heigle was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
