Football Game Recap: Oak Grove vs. Delta Charter

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Oak Grove and Delta Charter. Oak Grove were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Delta Charter 68-31. That result was just more of the same for Oak Grove, who also won the last time these teams played.

Oak Grove got off to a slow start in their previous match, but they had no such trouble against Delta Charter and cruised to a 40-point first half. Delta Charter put up 18, so the score was 40-18 at the half. The offense for Oak Grove continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 28 points to put the game away. The victory bumped their record up to 4-0. The defeat dropped Delta Charter's record to 1-3.

Oak Grove will look to defend their home turf next week against St. Frederick at 7:00 PM. St. Frederick took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse Oak Grove's good fortune. As for Delta Charter, they will face off against Sicily Island. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
