Softball Recap: Cristo Rey Jesuit Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

While Cristo Rey Jesuit's victory against Holy Trinity wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cristeros sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over the Tigers on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-6 last Wednesday.

Cristo Rey Jesuit pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.2 runs over those games. As for Holy Trinity, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Cristo Rey Jesuit will venture away from home to take on Walther Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Broncos will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Cristeros surely won't give up without a fight. As for Holy Trinity, they will host Regina Dominican at 4:30 p.m. on the 21st.
