Baseball Recap: St. David's Wins Going Away Against GRACE Christian

St. David's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the GRACE Christian Eagles as they made off with a 7-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Grey McMahon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because St. David's is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

At the plate, Thomas Vinson was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Malachi Sheats also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

St. David's now has a winning record of 4-3. As for GRACE Christian, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

St. David's will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
