Softball Recap: Choctaw Central Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

It's playoff time, and Choctaw Central had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Amory Panthers 10-2 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 12 matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Choctaw Central is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Amory, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-13.

Choctaw Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
