Basketball Game Preview: Rolling Meadows Mustangs vs. Stevenson Patriots

The Rolling Meadows Mustangs will square off against the Stevenson Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rolling Meadows will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Rolling Meadows' tournament run continued when they took on Palatine on Friday. Rolling Meadows walked away with a 53-40 win over Palatine. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Pirates are ranked 103rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Stevenson had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Saxons by a score of 53-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Rolling Meadows pushed their record up to 28-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points over those games. As for Stevenson, their win bumped their record up to 22-10.
