Basketball Recap: Amarillo Picks Up 15th Straight Win on the Road

Tascosa typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Amarillo proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victor by a 52-28 margin over the Tascosa Rebels. The Sandies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 24 points or more this season.

Amarillo pushed their record up to 26-5 with the victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Tascosa, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-9.

When Amarillo and Tascosa next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Amarillo will take on Monterey and their five-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Tascosa will try to stop Lubbock-Cooper's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
