Basketball Recap: Licking Heights Takes a Loss

Licking Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 46-35 to the Hamilton Township Rangers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 43-31 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Hamilton Township's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexis Wooten, who went 7 for 17 on her way to 22 points. Another player making a difference was Faith Moore, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

Licking Heights' loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Hamilton Township, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Licking Heights will host Northridge at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hamilton Township, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bloom-Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bloom-Carroll has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 182 points over their last three games.
