Basketball Game Preview: Berne Union Rockets vs. Wellington School Jaguars

Berne Union and Wellington School are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Berne Union Rockets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wellington School Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Berne Union lost to Bishop Rosecrans at home by a 40-23 margin. The loss continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Bishops: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Wellington School entered their tilt with Millersport on Wednesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They snuck past the Lakers with a 49-43 win.

Berne Union's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Wellington School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Berne Union took a serious blow against Wellington School in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 50-14. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Wellington School's Elodie Ware, who went 9 for 22 en route to 26 points in addition to seven boards and six steals.
