Football Recap: Sumner-Fredericksburg Comes Up Short

After flying high against Denver last Friday, Sumner-Fredericksburg came back down to earth. The Cougars took a hard 35-19 fall against North Fayette Valley on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 42-24 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Sumner-Fredericksburg now has a losing record of 1-2. As for North Fayette Valley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Sumner-Fredericksburg and North Fayette Valley will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cougars are set to square off against their familiar foe Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, North Fayette Valley will take on rival Osage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
