Shelbyville had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 34-14 margin over the Greensburg Pirates on Friday. The Golden Bears not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 23, 2024 (when they won 36-14).

Although Greensburg took the loss, they still got scores from Carson Kilgore and Ethan Bishop.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shelbyville will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Rushville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greensburg, they will face off against Greenfield-Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
