Baseball Recap: Bartlesville Gets the Win

Bartlesville won against Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool last Saturday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Bartlesville Bruins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Sapulpa Chieftains. This was payback for the Bruins, who suffered a 10-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

Kaden Romesburg spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Damien Niko, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Bartlesville and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bartlesville will venture away from home to square off against Owasso at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give Bartlesville their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Sapulpa, they are taking a road trip to face off against Broken Arrow at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
