Wilsonville waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Putnam Kingsmen by a score of 7-2. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Kingsmen, too.

Wilsonville's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Putnam, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Wilsonville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Kingsmen: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
