Softball Game Preview: Wayne Christian Eagles vs. Grace Christian Crusaders

Riley Sutton was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

In other batting news, Aj Verme made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI.

The win was the sixth in a row for Grace Christian, bringing their record up to 12-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Wayne Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
