Mountain Empire won the last time they faced Calexico Mission, and Oscar Plasencia did his part to make sure it happened again. The Redhawks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the RoadRunners on Wednesday thanks in part to Plasencia, who had six aces and five digs. Plasencia is also crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 14 every time he's taken the court this season.

Mountain Empire was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-12.

Mountain Empire's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Calexico Mission, they are on a 30-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Coming up, Mountain Empire will welcome School for Entrepreneurship & Technology at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Calexico Mission and Brawley will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
