Football Game Preview: San Luis Obispo Tigers vs. Righetti Warriors + Official Tickets

The San Luis Obispo Tigers will square off against the Righetti Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (San Luis Obispo has three straight victories, Righetti has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While San Luis Obispo's win against Pioneer Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers skirted past the Panthers 23-21.

Zion Hegg was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 91 yards and one score, and also threw for 107 yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 35 points the game before, Righetti was a bit more limited in their matchup last Friday. They had to suffer through a 38-6 loss at the hands of Garces Memorial. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Righetti's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for San Luis Obispo, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

San Luis Obispo was able to grind out a solid win over Righetti when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 17-7. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
