Soccer Recap: Fairfax Comes Up Short

If Fairfax was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of West Springfield last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell just short of the McLean Highlanders by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Fairfax's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for McLean, their record is now 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfax will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Potomac at 7:15 p.m. on the 23rd. Fairfax are facing West Potomac at the right time seeing as West Potomac are stuck on a four-game losing streak. McLean also won't see the pitch for a while: their next contest is against Wakefield at 7:15 p.m. on the 22nd.
