Basketball Game Preview: Belmont Braves vs. Mineral Point Pointers

The Belmont Braves are taking a road trip to take on the Mineral Point Pointers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Belmont's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.

Belmont might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 59-55 to Belleville, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Mineral Point against Southwestern on Tuesday as the team secured a 70-29 win. The Pointers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 28 points or more this season.

Belmont's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6. As for Mineral Point, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6.

Belmont might still be hurting after the 48-27 loss they got from Mineral Point in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Belmont avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
