Baseball Recap: Bishop Carroll Comes Up Short

If Bishop Carroll was riding high fresh off their 22-7 takedown of Glendale on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop McCort Crushers on Monday. The Huskies were not able to make up for their defeat to the Crushers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Bishop Carroll saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Gregg, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Bishop Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Bishop McCort, their record is now 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Carroll will face off against Bald Eagle Area at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bishop McCort, they will challenge Westmont Hilltop at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Crushers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hilltoppers have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
