Preview: Satellite vs. Bishop Moore
The Satellite Scorpions will head out on the road to face off against the Bishop Moore Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Satellite sitting on seven straight wins and Bishop Moore on 19.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Satellite walked away with it. They came out on top against the Broncos by a score of 3-1 on Friday. Alex Butler had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Satellite.
Something new happened on Friday as Butler saw his first action of the season, playing 100 minutes against Davenport. Butler made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Meanwhile, Bishop Moore put the finishing touches on their 15th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They put the hurt on The Villages Charter with a sharp 6-1 win. Six seems to be a good number for Bishop Moore as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
Satellite has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-1-6 record this season. As for Bishop Moore, their victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-2.
Satellite came up short against Bishop Moore in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 4-2. Can Satellite avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
