Recap: Petaluma Trojans vs. Vintage Crushers
The Petaluma Trojans were the 28-26 winner over the Vintage Crushers when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Petaluma suffered a tough 42-21 defeat at the hands of Vintage on Friday. Petaluma was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
Petaluma's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Chase Miller, who rushed for 112 yards on only 15 carries.
Jeffery Page was his usual excellent self, rushing for 145 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Page's longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards. Vintage also got help from Si Sabbagha who showed off his sure hands for 96 receiving yards.
This is the second loss in a row for Petaluma and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Vintage, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Petaluma will square off against Maria Carrillo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vintage, they will head out on the road to face off against Windsor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Windsor is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.
