Basketball Recap: Southwest Takes a Loss

Southwest entered their game against Cassville on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Southwest Trojans were beaten by the Cassville Wildcats 61-30. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while the Wildcats are ranked 167th).

Southwest's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-6. As for Cassville, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Southwest has already played their next match (against Jefferson Independent Day), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cassville has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Galena.
