Softball Recap: Whitehall-Yearling Wins Going Away Against Franklin Heights

Whitehall-Yearling's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the Franklin Heights Falcons 14-8. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Taylor Stace was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs and two stolen bases. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aubrie Deschaine, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI and two runs.

Whitehall-Yearling always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory got Whitehall-Yearling back to even at 6-6. As for Franklin Heights, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Whitehall-Yearling will head out to take on Bishop Ready at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Silver Knights have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Franklin Heights, they will host Madison Plains at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Golden Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
