Chester dropped their record down to 8-2 on Monday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Alcester-Hudson Cubs, falling 15-5. The match marked the Flyers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for Alcester-Hudson, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. 15 seems to be a good number for they as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

For Alcester-Hudson's part, Emma Moller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Moller has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Delta Pies, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Laney Decker, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Chester didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-4 win against Arlington/Lake Preston on the 13th. As for Alcester-Hudson, they will be playing at home against Viborg/Hurley at 4:00 p.m. on the 20th.
