Soccer Recap: Reseda Takes Down Math & Science College Preparatory in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Reseda had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Math & Science College Preparatory Sharks with a sharp 5-1 win. The Regents might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

They hit Math & Science College Preparatory with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kevin Gomez (2), Ousseynou Diop, Jonathan Rodriguez, and Mark Zuniga.

The victory (which was Reseda's third in a row) raised their record to 10-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three matches. As for Math & Science College Preparatory, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 13-7 record.

Coming up, Reseda will be playing at home against Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kennedy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Reseda surely won't give up without a fight. Math & Science College Preparatory does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
