Basketball Recap: Woodmont Takes a Loss

Woodmont played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 73-45 defeat at the hands of the Greenville Red Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered against the Red Raiders since January 29, 2016.

Greenville was led to victory by Ava Owens and Miracle Cheeks. Owens dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds, while Cheeks went 8 of 16 on her way to 17 points along with six assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailee Williams, who posted ten points.

Woodmont now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Greenville, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Woodmont and Hillcrest will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. As for Greenville, they will venture away from home to challenge Mauldin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
