Baseball Game Preview: Westside Rams vs. Palmetto Mustangs

The Westside Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Palmetto Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westside is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Westside came up short against Fountain Inn and fell 6-1. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by exactly five runs.

Westside got a good showing from Caleb Christian, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Christian has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Westside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MJ Lee, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Palmetto also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Belton-Honea Path by a score of 9-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost six in a row.

Westside's record now sits at 6-5. As for Palmetto, their record is now 1-9.
