Oldenburg Academy extended their winning streak to six on Saturday, bumping them up to 7-1. They breezed past the South Decatur Cougars to the tune of 63-31. The Twisters' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

As for South Decatur, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered against Oldenburg Academy since December 1, 2018.

Despite the defeat, South Decatur saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Raegan Benge posted 15 points and eight rebounds. That was a full 48.4% of the Cougars' points, marking the fourth time in a row Benge has had more than a third of the team's points. Dalilah Martin was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Oldenburg Academy has already played their next game, a 54-26 win against Rising Sun on the 9th. As for South Decatur, they will be playing at home against Hauser at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' defense better be ready for this one: the Jets have averaged an impressive 51.3 points per game this season.
