Basketball Recap: Andrew Edwards Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Fulshear

Alief Elsik won the last time they faced Fulshear and things went their way on Saturday too. The Alief Elsik Rams managed a 47-41 win over the Fulshear Chargers.

Alief Elsik's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andrew Edwards, who posted eight points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Edwards a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Scott, who went 5 for 11 en route to 15 points and four steals.

Alief Elsik's victory bumped their record up to 14-18. As for Fulshear, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-21 record this season.

Looking ahead, Alief Elsik will square off against Alief Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Alief Elsik is facing Alief Taylor at the right time seeing as Alief Taylor is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Fulshear does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
