Basketball Recap: Beggs Takes a Loss

Beggs lost to Kellyville back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Demons fell 78-74 to the Ponies. While losing is never fun, the Demons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Ponies are ranked 19th).

Beggs has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Kellyville, they pushed their record up to 14-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Beggs will venture away from home to challenge Preston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Demons will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Kellyville, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Eufaula at 7:30 p.m. The Ponies will need to watch out since the Ironheads have now posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
