Baseball Recap: Aiken Victorious

Aiken is still undefeated this season after their contest against Woodruff on Wednesday, but Woodruff came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Fighting Green Hornets came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Wolverines. While the Fighting Green Hornets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Tyler Tindall was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tanner Padgett, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Aiken's record now sits at 4-0. As for Woodruff, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aiken will head out to face off against Summerville at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Green Wave will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Woodruff, they are taking a road trip to take on Fox Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
