If Erie was riding high fresh off their 70-41 takedown of Niwot last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Erie Tigers took a 63-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brighton Bulldogs on Thursday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Erie lost, don't look at Garrett Owen. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-16 to rack up 21 points. That's the most points Owen has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Christopher Smith, who had nine points and five boards.
