There's no place like home for South Lamar, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They skirted past the Hubbertville Lions 4-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as South Lamar also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Dax Barrentine looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Max Wright was excellent, going 2-for-2 with a stolen base and two RBI. Brooks Wright was another key contributor, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

South Lamar has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. As for Hubbertville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
