2015-16 South Carolina Preseason Boys Basketball Fab 5, presented by the Army National Guard

1. Hammond (Columbia)
Head coach: Mark McClam
2014-15 record: 26-4

Spectacular senior Seventh Woods (6-2, G) is back for the defending SCISA Class 3A state champions. Woods, a target of programs like Clemson and North Carolina, averaged 16.3 points and 3.7 assists per game as a junior. He should surpass the 2,000-point mark as a senior. Charleston commit Chevez Goodwin (6-9, F) also returns for the Skyhawks after contributing 12.6 points and 9.4 rebounds per outing in 2014-15.

2. 22ft Academy (Greenville)
Head coach: Ryan Schmidt
2014-15 record: 17-15

22ft is an independent, college prep program that features players from seven different states and Europe. The headliners are senior forwards Arlington Country Day transfer Darius Hicks (6-7) and SanAntonio Brinson (6-8). Sophomore Kyle Rawson (6-8, F) adds even more size in the paint.

3. Legacy Charter (Greenville)
Head coach: B.J. Jackson
2014-15 record: 23-13

Expect this to be a big year for Nicolas Claxton (6-9, F), a long junior lefty who is beginning to draw Top 100-type consideration. Athletic seniors Deshaun Leftwich (6-2, G), Miguel Priest (6-5, F) and Jashaun Smith (6-5, G/F) highlight a strong supporting cast.

4. Wando (Mt. Pleasant)
Head coach: Chris Warzynski
2014-15 record: 20-7

After winning the AAAA state title two seasons ago, the Warriors were knocked out of the postseason proceedings early by eventual champ Sumter last year. Division I target Jamez Rogers (6-6, G/F) has the ability to lift Wando back into championship form – he poured in 25 points in the 2014 championship game victory.

5. Spring Valley (Columbia)
Head coach: Perry Dozier
2014-15 record: 19-8

If healthy, Jordan Bruner (6-8, Sr., F) could challenge for state player of the year honors and make the Vikings a contender. The versatile big man is being recruited by several ACC and SEC schools. Fellow senior Noah Harper (6-2, G) is another Spring Valley standout on the college radar.
