Softball Recap: Sutherlin Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sutherlin's offense. They came up short against the Glide Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 16-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sutherlin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan McKinney, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases. McKinney has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Sutherlin dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Glide, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

While Sutherlin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
