Savannah came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Claxton, but Jayda Jordan wouldn't allow it. The Claxton Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Savannah Bluejackets on Saturday, sneaking past 29-26 thanks in part to Jordan, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 boards. That makes it 19 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Claxton's points.

Savannah's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nyla Johnson, who posted five points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joniyah Bell, who earned nine points and four steals.

Claxton's record is now 6-13. As for Savannah, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Claxton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-21 loss against Tattnall County on the 3rd. As for Savannah, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-25 defeat against McIntosh County Academy on the 4th.
