Baseball Recap: Derby Comes Up Short

Derby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 6-1 to the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Derby's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bishop Carroll, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Derby will host Hutchinson on Tuesday. As for Bishop Carroll, they are taking a road trip to challenge Kapaun Mt. Carmel at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
