Preview: Memorial Chargers vs. Coweta Tigers
The Memorial Chargers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Coweta Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Memorial focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Memorial came up short against Holland Hall and fell 55-47. Memorial has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losing side was boosted by Mataya Hall, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 53.2% of Memorial's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Asia Roper, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Coweta strolled past Durant with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 41-27.
Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Coweta, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.
