Burnet won the last time they faced Gateway College Preparatory and things went their way on Friday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Gators with a sharp 8-1 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Burnet's sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Gateway College Preparatory, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Burnet will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Lago Vista at 1:00 p.m. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests. Gateway College Preparatory does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
