Volleyball Game Preview: Whitehorse Raiders vs. San Carlos Braves

The Whitehorse Raiders will square off against the San Carlos Braves at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Whitehorse will be strutting in after a win while San Carlos will be coming in after a defeat.

Whitehorse's tournament run continued when they took on Northwest on Friday. The Raiders walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Falcons. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won six in a row.

Whitehorse's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Malia Sam, who had ten aces, and Keira Little, who had four aces. Those ten aces gave Sam a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Whitehorse was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 31 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, San Carlos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against San Tan Charter, falling 3-0.

San Carlos' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Whitehorse, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
