Volleyball Recap: Saint Joseph's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Saint Joseph was the 3-1 winner over Marina when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Jesters took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Thursday. While the Jesters didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vikings 25-8 in the first set.

Saint Joseph actually scored more points across those four sets (84-83), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 8-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-23.

Saint Joseph's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Saint Joseph will be taking part in a tournament against Rancho Cucamonga at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Marina, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Canyon at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
