Soccer Recap: Western Branch Takes a Loss

Western Branch managed to keep up with Jamestown until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Bruins lost 3-0 to the Eagles. While losing is never fun, Western Branch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Jamestown are ranked second).

Western Branch has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Jamestown, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Western Branch has already played their next game, an 8-0 victory against Indian River on the 29th. As for Jamestown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Warhill on the 29th.
