Basketball Recap: Minto Takes a Loss

After flying high against Non Varsity Opponent back in February, Minto came back down to earth. The Minto Lakers fell 52-44 to the Fort Yukon Eagles on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Lakers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the defeat, Minto saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tayla Baker posted 23 points.

Minto's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Fort Yukon, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-3.

Minto didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-43 win against Jimmy Huntington on the 7th. As for Fort Yukon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 39-24 victory against Tri-Valley on the 7th.
