Basketball Recap: River View Raiders vs. Van Bulldogs
The River View Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on Van with a sharp 86-66 win. River View has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.
Jackson Danielson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. He hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Lester, who scored 19 points along with two steals.
The victory was the eighth in a row for River View, bringing their record for this year to 12-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Van, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
River View will head out on the road to challenge the Bobcats at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Van, they will be playing at home against the Golden Knights at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount View is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
