Softball Recap: Lancaster Comes Up Short

It was a good run, but Lancaster unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Rappahannock Raiders by a score of 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Lancaster's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Rappahannock, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-4.

Lancaster does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rappahannock, they will challenge West Point at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pointers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.26 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
