Soccer Recap: Purcell Marian Comes Up Short

After soaring to seven goals the game before, Purcell Marian was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They lost 7-1 to the Middletown Middies. Purcell Marian were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Tylee Littlejohn, who's now up to five this season.

Purcell Marian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Middletown, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Purcell Marian will challenge Seven Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Purcell Marian's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Middletown, they will welcome Fairborn at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairborn will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Middletown surely won't give up without a fight.
