 Walsenburg was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their 22nd straight  loss. They suffered a  rough 21-1 defeat at the hands of the Rye Thunderbolts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Walsenburg of the  15-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  on Saturday.
 For Rye's part,  Brandon Benz and  Axton Ehrlich made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing,  Benz   tossed  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). Meanwhile,  Ehrlich   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned run or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). At bat,  Benz  scored four  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3, while  Ehrlich  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Benz is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games he's  played.
 In other batting news,  Blake Walton was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aydin Swald, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Walsenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rye, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.
 Walsenburg will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fowler at 10:00  a.m.  on April 20th. As for Rye, they will play host again  on Wednesday to welcome Salida, where first pitch is scheduled  at 3:00  p.m.
