Softball Recap: Earlville Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Earlville extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 8-7 in the process. They blew past the Indian Creek Timberwolves 13-2. The Red Raiders not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 16-0).

As for Indian Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. Their defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

For Indian Creek's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allie Peterson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Earlville will venture away from home to challenge South Beloit at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sobos have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season. As for Indian Creek, they will head out to take on Amboy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
