Volleyball Recap: Cle Elum-Roslyn Takes a Loss

Cle Elum-Roslyn lost against River View back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Cle Elum-Roslyn took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 20-25, 25-14, 15-13.

Rachel Mendenhall paced Cle Elum-Roslyn's offense, picking up 13 kills. Mendenhall got some help from Audrey Teh and her 13 assists. Mendenhall also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jazmyne Castleberry, each putting up four.

Cle Elum-Roslyn's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for River View, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Cle Elum-Roslyn will welcome Warden at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for River View, they are taking a road trip to face off against Kittitas at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
