Basketball Recap: Spokane Takes a Loss

Spokane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Pleasant Hope Pirates, falling 67-47. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 507th, while the Pirates are ranked 253rd).

Spokane's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Pleasant Hope, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spokane has already played their next match (against Exeter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pleasant Hope will look to defend their home court on Friday against Early at 9:00 p.m.
